Curriculum drama workshops for primary schools
Our curriculum workshops bring classroom topics to life through drama. Pupils meet characters from history, step into different times and places and pick up the key facts by taking part rather than just listening. Our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 workshops link to National Curriculum topics, and our EYFS sessions are built around the themes and areas of learning you are covering in Nursery and Reception. We come to your school.

Workshop formats
Every workshop gets pupils involved, but there are a few different ways we can bring your theme to life.
Character visits
An actor in role gives a short talk to the class, then answers questions and chats with the children. A visit like this works well at the start of a topic, and the character can be referred back to in follow-up work in the classroom.
Interactive topic sessions
Costumed characters visit your school and run an interactive session covering the key information for your topic in a fun, energetic way. Sessions normally last between an hour and an hour and a half, and we can adjust the length to suit the number of pupils taking part.
Play projects
Pupils work with our directors to stage a short piece based on the topic. We provide the script and structure the process so that every child is involved and learning about the subject as they rehearse. Play projects run over a longer period, anywhere from one to ten weeks. If you would like a script written around your own class and scheme of work, have a look at our bespoke topic plays.
Not sure which format would suit your class? Have a look at our FAQs or get in touch and we will talk it through with you.
